27–30 June
Haapsalu Castle courtyard, Haapsalu Dome church, Uuemõisa Manor, Villa Friedheim
This year the festival will be focussed on sensual Estonian music and brilliant Estonian artists. The festival’s axis and grand event is the first full performance of the musical trilogy by Tõnu Kõrvits. On three consecutive nights, his award-winning masterpieces will be performed by the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and three great choirs: the Latvian Radio Choir, Voces Tallinn, and the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir under conductor Risto Joost.
All of these pieces were composed for soloists, the choir, and string instruments, and were premiered by the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, and Risto Joost. Doris Kareva helped to translate and create the texts for all three pieces.
