Estonian poet Ernst Enno from Haapsalu has made significant contributions to Estonian literature through his remarkable poetry, which has been set to music by many Estonian composers. Enno’s verses resonate powerfully, earning deep admiration from both composers and performers. Composer Pärt Uusberg has drawn inspiration from Enno’s poetry throughout his career, and in honor of the writer’s 150th birthday, Uusberg has curated a concert program featuring his choral works based on Enno’s texts.
Pärt Uusberg:
„Enno’s poetry is mystical, nocturnal, enigmatic. It is extraordinarily beautiful, timeless, and atmospheric.”
