1–4 July 2021
The annual Haapsalu Tchaikovsky Festival is taking place for the fifth time this summer. The Festival has proved its worth being an important part of both Haapsalu’s as well as Estonian summer, enriching the selection of cultural events in the beautiful resort town with high-level concerts. The Festival offers a diverse music programme where both professional musicians as well as curious holidaymakers can find something captivating to their taste.
There are ten different events held during the four days, that range from a ballet gala and a theatre performance to a spectacular children’s concert. The Festival continues to work closely with the local museums of Lääne County in order to offer audience members an exciting additional activity in Haapsalu: guided walking tours on Tchaikovsky’s trails, morning yoga classes amongst others are to be expected.
The highlights of the Festival are the performances of the Latvian National Ballet, Dmitry Sinkovsky with the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra and the open-air concert of the legendary Terem Quartet from Russia in the beautiful courtyard of Haapsalu Castle. Furthermore, several other inspiring music events are held in Haapsalu’s cosy concert venues. The Festival is taking place thanks to the close cooperation of Haapsalu City Government and Foundation Eesti Kontsert.
