Gregorian chants, extracts of “La messe de Nostre Dame“ by Guillaume de Machaut, Arvo Pärt „Missa syllabica“

A programme that offers a rare musical experience, intertwining the fine sacred purity of Gregorian chants with the hurdy-gurdy’s mediaeval sound.

During this season, the Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir will perform music connected to various religious traditions in their ‘Prayers I-III’ concerts – featuring Russian Orthodox music, Western Catholic music (as part of this programme), and Buddhist spiritual music in May.
