Malian kora virtuoso Ballaké Sissoko’s solo improvisations bring the magic of African sounds and musical traditions to Estonian audiences.

Ballaké Sissoko began playing the kora under the guidance of his father, Djelimady Sissoko, and has gained widespread recognition on the international music scene. He is considered one of the best kora players of the new generation, performing both as a soloist and ensemble musician in renowned concert halls worldwide, including in Berlin and Paris.

The kora is a unique 21-string instrument resembling both a harp and a lute, widely used by West African griots, the oral historians.
