True to the recent custom, the programme for the season opener includes pieces from centuries ago, as well as from the modern world of sound. Max Richter’s iconic interpretation of Vivaldi shines in the focal spot.

Mari Samuelsen, an international star who performs as a soloist in the most iconic concert halls around the world, is known for her striking artistry and for possessing the spirit of a seeker. Her approach to this concert programme is adventurous. Her performance of “Vivaldi Recomposed” by Richter in the Forbidden City in Beijing has been viewed online over 34 million times.

Mari is not only a simply amazing violinist, she also has an intuitive understanding of my world of composing, along with a wonderful ability to take it to the audience.
