Georg Friedrich Händel, the most well-known composer of the late Baroque was once a real national hero. His operas, oratorios and instrumental pieces touched the listener, his arias were sung in homes and his music was always played on the most important holidays. To this day, every crowning of a British monarch is accompanied with the crowning hymn „Zadok de Pirest“.

Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach, the most famous son of Johann Sebastian Bach, was a distinguished keyboard player, music theorist and composer. His work is full of expression and quickly alternating emotions. „Magnificat“ was composed in Berlin in 1749, when Carl Philipp Emmanuel Bach worked as a court musician for Frederick the Great.
