Antwerp Symphony Orchestra is the flagship of classical music in the Flanders region with its high-level concerts. The orchestra’s home hall is Queen Elisabeth’s Hall in Antwerp. In addition to numerous concert series and educational and social projects in the larger halls of Belgium, the orchestra goes on a tour of Europe and Asia every year.
From season 2019/2020, the orchestra’s chief conductor is a young and brilliant Elim Chan of Hong Kong, whose stardom began in 2014 with the victory at Donatella Flick’s conductors’ competition, being the first female conductor to have won this competition.
