At the end of November last year, the world celebrated what would have been the seventy-fifth birthday of the greatest hero in the history of electric guitar music, Jimi Hendrix. This genius managed to write songs of a wide variety of moods and styles before his creative journey was cut short – from classic blues to longer opuses and avant-garde compositions. ‘The Well-Known and Unknown Jimi Hendrix’ includes famous hits as well as compositions which are played in public less frequently than they deserve. The pieces are not copied or adapted by the musicians who take the stage. The aim is to share the musical joy.
