Robert Traksmann (violin)
Introduction by Urmas Taniloo

Programme:
Bach, Mägi

A creative handshake spanning centuries between two great masters. The concert will feature solo works for organ by Ester Mägi, solo violin partitas by Bach, and duets by both composers.

Organist Kadri Toomoja is a prominent young Estonian organist, pianist, and harpsichordist, regularly performing solo recitals and collaborating with top Estonian ensembles such as the Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Estonian National Male Choir, Vox Clamantis, Ellerhein Girls’ Choir, Estonian National Opera Boys’ Choir, Voces Tallinn, Collegium Musicale, and more.

Violinist Robert Traksmann holds a master’s degree from the Hanns Eisler School of Music in Berlin. He has performed as a soloist with several orchestras, including the Estonian National Symphony Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Latvian National Symphony Orchestra, German Youth Symphony Orchestra, Pärnu City Orchestra, and the symphony orchestras of Oulu and Jyväskylä. As an active chamber musician, he is a member of Trio ’95 and the string quartet M4GNET. Traksmann plays a violin crafted by Giuseppe and Antonio Gagliano (1775-1780) and uses a bow by Joseph Arthur Vigneron (1890), provided by the Estonian Instrument Foundation.
