These Good Friday concerts unite musicians from two countries celebrating their 100th jubilee year –
Estonia and Poland, who will perform their programme, which features music suitable for listening during a this quiet time by contemporary Estonian and Polish authors, in both countries. The music of contemporary composers of Estonia and Poland make an interesting combination. Tõnu Kõrvits’ Stabat Mater was created on commission of The Sixteen, the world-famous choir from the United Kingdom, who were also the first to perform and record it.
