Chamber Choir Encore was assembled by conductor Karin Kuulpak in October 2016. In early spring 2017, the choir got the first place in the B-category of the nation-wide singing contest Tuljak and won the B-category of the XIV contest-festival of the Association of Chamber Choirs. The choir got special prizes for the best performance of a compulsory song and the best choirmaster-composer. This gave the choir the opportunity to participate in Eesti Kontsert’s concert series ‘Estonian Eras’, where music from the first age of awakening is played: Miina Härma, August Kunileid, Friedrich Saebelmann, and others. Karin Kuulpak, the conductor of the choir, studies choral conducting in the Estonian Academy of Music and Theatre under Hirvo Surva and composition under Tõnu Kõrvits.
