Dancing Glass is a dance, music and video performance featuring twelve of Philip Glass’s renowned piano works interpreted by fourteen internationally acclaimed choreographers, musicians and video artists. The performance combines live music, dance and video, and features surprising interpretations with influences of African echoes, Brazilian choro, Japanese koto and Turkish Sufi music.

The performance also features Estonian kannel player Anna-Liisa Eller as co-director and musician.

The production is dedicated to the founder of contemporary performance art, American composer Philip Glass, whose minimalist music transcends genres and embraces a range of cultural colours.

Dancing Glass is a modern audiovisual performance produced by Change Performing Arts with acclaimed American choreographer Lucinda Childs and Italian music producer Oscar Pizzo.

The concert performance is part of the main programme of Tartu 2024, European Capital of Culture.
