Ludwig van Beethoven was the first composer to give the cello and piano equal importance in his sonatas. His five cello sonatas provide an overview of his different creative periods and have consistently served as a genuine test of interpretive skill for both pianists and cellists.

Concert will showcase all the great composer’s sonatas, performed by our talented, seasoned, and internationally recognized musicians. Marcel Johannes Kits and Sten Heinoja have long dreamed of presenting this program, and now, celebrating Eesti Kontsert’s 85th anniversary, it’s the ideal moment to bring that vision to life.

Wed, 4 February 18.00 Estonia Concert Hall
Pre-concert talk with Joonas Hellerma, Marcel Johannes Kits and Sten Heinoja
