Mixed choir HUIK! formed in September 2009 by the students of the Old Town Educational College, many of whom sang together in the chamber choir of Old Town Educational College Gymnasium. Over the years, the choir has expanded into a 50-member mixed choir, which considers cooperation with the younger generation of Estonian composers to be important. The choir has recorded the choral songs of Kadri Laanes, and in 2011 and 2014, they sang together with the chamber choir Head Ööd, Vend at Pärt Uusberg’s author’s concerts.
In February 2012, the Mixed Choir HUIK! participated in the premier of Evelin Seppar’s chamber opera “The Other”. Since 2014, the choir has given author’s concerts with actor Priit Strandberg.
