Eller. Symphonic poem “Singing Fields”
Tamberg. Concerto Grosso op. 5
Tubin. Symphony no. 6
Having left behind the “legendary” (symphony no. 2), “heroic” (Symphony no. 3), “lyrical” (Symphony no. 4), and the fifth symphony inspired by the trials of war, Tubin’s sixth symphony focuses on a philosophical discussion of the future of classical music, considering it his most successful symphony. Life had to go on, and it was in those years that an extraordinary outburst of creativity began to show in the work of the new students of Eller and Saar, the first example of which was Tamberg’s Concerto Grosso.
