Charles Gounod’s opera “Faust”, based on the first part of Goethe’s poem, is a masterpiece of musical portrait. Artistic director of the St. Petersburg Opera and director of the play Yuri Alexandrov offers the audience a bold reading of the story of Faust, who sold his soul to the devil for youth.
The performance of the St. Petersburg Chamber Opera will take place instead of the Croatian National Theatre’s performance La donna del lago. Tickets purchased for Tuesday’s performance will be valid on the same day of the week or will be redeemed until 11 July (inclusive).
