Orchestra (Landes-Jugend-Symphonie-Orchester Saar) is a collective of musicians aged 14–20, founded in 1982 in the initiative of Saarland Federal State Music Council. Young musicians, who have been chosen with auditions, gather twice a year for rehearsal sessions from all over the federal state and work under professional instructors in both group and orchestra rehearsals. The Youth Orchestra is very popular in their federal state of Saarland and has a very busy concert schedule.

In 2018, the orchestra will be touring in Latvia, Lithuania, and Estonia with the support of German Federal Republic Commission of Culture.
