Violinist and online artist Ray Chen is reshaping the image of a 21st-century classical musician. He’s a globally recognized artist who inspires contemporary audiences and navigates social media platforms as effortlessly as he performs in the world’s premier concert halls alongside celebrated conductors and top-tier chamber musicians. Ray Chen came into the spotlight of classical scene after winning first prizes at both the Yehudi Menuhin (2008) and Queen Elisabeth (2009) competitions. His album “Virtuoso” earned the prestigious ECHO Klassik Award, and he’s now recognized on Forbes’ “30 Under 30 Asia” list of influential individuals.
Born in Taiwan and raised in Australia, Ray Chen was accepted into the Curtis Institute of Music at age 15. He’s also dedicated to enhancing music education, inspiring the next generation with a series of educational videos that blend comedy, learning, and music.
