The name of conductor Frieder Bernius is associated with the tradition of so called true- to –historic tradition performances that gained momentum among music interpretation sn the late decades of the last century.  Bernius is also known as the founder and artistic director of the world-renowned Stuttgart Chamber Choir and Baroque Orchestra.

Mikk Üleoja, the artistic director of the Estonian National Male Choir:

I first met Frieder Bernius as a singer of the World Youth Choir in 1990. The experience was best described by the feeling of ‘cultural shock’. In my eyes, Bernius was a man from another universe for his sparkling yet profound musicality, his all-encompassing energy and his professional ability. To the best of my knowledge, he was uniquely talented and charismatic among choral conductors. There he was, within the reach of the hand; he didn’t disappear when you closed your eyes and then opened them again. With greatest pleasure we welcome him as guest conductor of the Estonian National Male Choir.

With intermission, duration appr. 1 h 40 min
