In 2021, the string quartet Prezioso will celebrate its 15th anniversary. During this time, the quartet has shared the stage with many great musicians, this time performing with soprano Arete Kerge.
The first half of the concert will feature a string quartet created by the English composer Edward Elgar in 1918, where bright characters will alternate with dreamlike moods. In addition to the elegant and nuanced “Il Tramonto” (Sunset) for oprano and string quartet written by Elgar’s contemporary Ottorino Respigh in 1914. The second half of the concert will feature miniature song cycles by Brahms and Schumann and the new composition of Estonian composer Riho Esko Maimets.
