The duo from Moscow playing on historical instruments, was established in 2002 as an ensemble Golden Century. The repertoire of the ensemble is versatile, covering early baroque to modern age. Alongside Beethoven, the programme includes the works of Russian-born composers who are not so widely known – it is an interesting world providing an overview of the music life in Russia in the 18th and 19th century. The duo has performed in great halls in Moscow and Petersburg, at festivals and concert halls in Russia and all through Europe.

Aleksander Listratov is an outstanding Russian baroque cellist and the artistic director of the Golden Century.

Aleksei Shevtshenko is a well-rounded musician, harpsichordist, organist and pianist, who received his musical education from the Moscow Conservatory, where he now teaches historical claviers. His is a laureate of many international competitions, a renowned soloist and a musician in a chamber group.
