Concert of the winner of the television contest Stars of Classical Music 2018

Tanel-Eiko Novikov, who won the television contest Stars of Classical Music in 2018, studies at Tallinn Music High School under Kristjan Mäeots. In 2016, Novikov participated in three international contests. Two of those were video contests ENKOR and Great Composer’s Competition in the USA, and he won first place in both. In the same year, at the St. Petersburg Open Youth Percussion Competition in the category of solo marimba, he won first place and the jury’s special prize, giving him the opportunity to perform at the Mariinsky Theatre Concert Hall in 2017.

Tanel-Eiko Novikov has performed at the Baltic Brass Festival (2015) in Vilnius, at the Nordic percussion festival Percussion Plus 2016 in Tallinn, at the East-European WASBE conference in Prague, given solos with the Estonian Youth Wind Ensemble, participated in collectives like the Tallinn Music High School Symphony Orchestra and Youth Choir, Estonian Youth Wind Ensemble, Estonian Youth Wind Orchestra, Youth Orchestra Reaalmažoor, Uus Tänav Orchestra, Tallinn Chamber Orchestra, Vanemuine Symphony Orchestra, EMTA (Estonian Music and Theatre Academy) Symphony Orchestra, EMTA Brass, and the Police and Border Guard Orchestra. He has participated in numerous masterclasses in Belgium, Russia, Italy, and Estonia.
