French harpsichord player Pierre Hantaï has been overpoured with superlative titles all over the world – a great man f classical music, one of the most famous contemporary interpreters of Bach, the great French harpsichord player, and so on. He has won numerous music awards, including the Gramophone Prize and the title of a laureate of the prestigious harpsichord competition in Bruges, which is a kind of stepping stone for future career. Pierre Hantaï is a passionate and uncompromising musician. He wholeheartedly supports the position according to which a good interpreter who puts his whole heart into delivering great music, does not require trickery with today’s marketing techniques. He emphasizes that the best composers in the history of music have chosen harpsichord as a medium for their brilliant ideas.

Hantaï performs as a soloist all over the world. He often performs together with Jordi Savall, enjoys musical reunions with his brothers Marc Hantaï (flute) and Jerôme Hantaï (viola da gamba, piano) and with his several friends -baroque musicians.
