Gidon Kremer and his chamber orchestra, Kremerata Baltica, are renowned for their world-class musicianship and adventurous programming. The ensemble gathers the finest young talent from the Baltic states, while Kremer remains one of the most distinctive personalities in the violin world, consistently prioritizing artistic depth over external effect. Over the decades, the sonic identity of both the orchestra and its founder has become a hallmark of intellectual and profound musical interpretation.

Throughout his career, Gidon Kremer has performed on several rare instruments, but his longest and most faithful companion has been a Nicola Amati violin crafted in 1641. It is one of the few instruments of such age to remain so well preserved.
