The horn virtuoso, Felix Klieser, is a special musician in several ways. He was born without any hands. He uses his feet in daily operations, such as eating, dressing, and writing, and in his professional work as a horn player. Now Klieser has reached landmarks of which any musician only dreams. He has gained plenty of international acknowledgement, has performed with the world’s leading orchestras, and has recorded all of the most significant pieces which have been written for the horn. Felix Klieser is teaching his own students, and his concert schedule is fully booked several years in advance.

Klieser is an ambassador for the One-Handed Musical Instrument Trust (OHMI). This foundation helps to fund the development of musical instruments which have been adjusted or specifically designed for musicians who have special needs, and he is one of the most vocal promoters when it comes to creating equal opportunities for special needs children.

Felix Klieser:
It is not talent but the act of remaining true to one’s dreams which opens the path to happiness.

Klieser’s horn, Alex (Model 103 by Alexander Brothers (Mainz)), is living its own life on social media, which means that anyone who wants to take an interest can participate in the performer’s daily life and have a peak into what goes on behind the curtains during a concert.
