Grandmaster Rudolf Buchbinder, who is still in top form at the age of 71, giving two to three concerts every week around the world, will be performing in Estonia for the first time. ‘Rudi’, who used to cause excitement in Vienna as a young prodigy, has now become a giant in the world of piano: having recorded almost the entire body of work of all the First Viennese School composers: Haydn, Mozart, Beethoven, and Schubert. He has performed Beethoven’s 32 piano sonatas in a complete cycle more than fifty times around the world. Celebrating his sixtieth stage anniversary in 2018, Buchbinder will also perform Beethoven’s legendary sonata Appassionata in Tallinn.
