The soloist in one of Beethoven’s most unique masterpieces – Choral Fantasy, Op. 80 C minor is pianist Maksim Štšura, who has an international reach, and who has a strong and masterful style, awesome intellect and fiery drive with an interpretation mix. A bridge to the contemporary era is the orchestral work of the acclaimed Russian composer Rodion Shchedrin (b. 1932) “Beethoven’s Heiligenstadt Testament”, which takes the listeners on an intriguing sound journey into one of Beethoven’s most groundbreaking stages of life.
