Jeremy Denk is one of the more highly regarded classical pianists in the United States, awarded with numerous prizes, including the Avery Fisher Prize and Musical America magazine’s Instrumentalist of the Year award. Denk’s energetic and expressive playing touches the audience like a direct speech that carries conviction and passion. At the Piano Festival, Denk will perform a selection of piano variations from various composers, including the American minimalist John Adams’s new piece „Pocket Variations“ (first performance in Europe), and Schumann’s poetic Fantasie in C.
