Eduard Tubin served as a male choir conductor throughout nearly his entire creative life. His sonic ideal was the Estonian National Male Choir, whose performances he frequently followed via radio while in exile. It was with this specific ensemble in mind that he composed his final large-scale work, Requiem for Fallen Soldiers. The programme includes a selection of Tubin´s choral works for male voices.
