Programme of hits by Estonian folk group Curly Strings.

“Everybody knows we are a band of fairly limited number of instruments. How to put your legs in dancing mood without a percussions involved, how to raise the spirit with only four string instruments and then land our audiences to the warmth of ones home with a beautiful song? In most cases we manage very nicely to do so, our audiences will always get a nice ride. Today we hint that our stories have much more potential, even to feed the huge engine of the symphony orchestra!”
Curly Strings

The birth of concert program was inspired by the proposal of one of the largest German folk and world music celebrations – the Rudolstadt Festival. With the support of Tauno Aints, Tõnu Kõrvits, Rasmus Puur and Arno Tamm the new arrangements for folk group and symphony orchestra were born. Curly Strings and Thüringer Symphoniker faced the German audiences in July 2018.
