Programme:
Tubin, Sibelius, Rachmaninov

The brilliant young singer Mirjam Mesak studied at the prestigious Guildhall School of Music and Theater in London in the singing class of Professor Rudolf Piernay. Today, Mesak is a soloist at the Munich State Opera and an artist at HarrissonParrott.  Mirjam Mesaku’s more recent opera roles include Mimi (La Boheme by Puccini), Iolanta (Iolanta by Tchaikovsky), Papagena (Magic Flute by Mozart), Juliette (Dead City by Korngold), and others.

Concert series “Liederkreis” introduces the audience to the vocal cycles of seventeen composers. The song series with a pervasive motif have both musical and poetic value – they are like novels in music. Often, vocal cycles represent the character’s physical and psychological journeys. You will also hear jazz arrangements of the cycles at two concerts projects of the series.
