Lauri Vasar is a singer with a unique charm and deeply felt character creation-skills. After self-improvement at the Salzburg Mozarteum, Vasar has performed in all major European opera houses, partnered with top singers and the most famous conductors. Vasar’s repertoire focuses on Mozart’s operas, as well as on works by Puccini, Wagner, Russian composers, and 20th-century authors. So far the Estonian audience has had few opportunities to partake in Lauri Vasar’s talent and we are all the happier about Lauri Vasar’s solo concert at homeland.

Concert series “Liederkreis” introduces the audience to the vocal cycles of seventeen composers. The song series with a pervasive motif have both musical and poetic value – they are like novels in music. Often, vocal cycles represent the character’s physical and psychological journeys. You will also hear jazz arrangements of the cycles at two concerts projects of the series.
