Programme:
Sink. “Songs of Death and Birth”

The concert marks the 80th birthday of the unique Estonian composer Kuldar Sink and presents his special but rarely performed and highly expressive “Songs of Death and Birth”.

“Synthesis of cultures of different nations – in addition to Arabic styles, there are also European melodies. The work sounds both expressive and meditative. “Songs of Death and Birth” is a rare synthesis that reflects the composer’s ability to bring a foreign culture closeby, to blend into a foreign way of thinking while preserving the Nordic sound language.”
