Johan Randvere is one of the brightest and most versatile musicians of his generation – a solo pianist and an outstanding ensemble player. His playing is enthusiastically forceful and passionate, full of contrasts and shades, but always artistic.

The main piece of the evening is the Piano Sonata in G major, op. 37 by Tchaikovsky, which is also known by its cognomen ‘Great’. This piece requires an outstanding technical prowess from the pianist, it includes a lot of melancholy poetry and mystically galloping joy that is characteristic to the composer.
