Iris Oja is a freelance singer who tightly cooperates with ensembles such as Resonabilis, UMA, Ars Nova, and choirs, including Estonian Philharmonic Chamber Choir, Coro Casa da Musica (Porto), Chamber Choir Ireland, and many others. She has participated in several operas, oratorios, and all kinds of modern performing art projects. Iris Oja is especially renowned for performing Russian music, she has released a solo album under Harmonia Mundi with songs by Rachmaninoff and Shostakovich. She is appreciated as a sensitive and versatile singer who tastefully performs music of various eras and styles, but her performing of Slavic music and sense of modern music has received the most felicitous praise. In the concert series Estonian Eras, Iris Oja and her creative partner Kirill Ogorodnikov are introducing the rich musical tradition of the late 19th century and early 20th century Russia.
