The French harpsichordist Pierre Hantaï has won superb titles – “the great figure of classical music,” “one of Bach’s most famous interpreters of modern times,” and “the great French harpsichordist.” He has won numerous music awards, including the Gramophone Prize and the title of laureate at the prestigious Bruges Harpsichord Competition.

Pierre Hantaï is a passionate and uncompromising musician. He believes that a performer who performs great music with depth and heart does not need to trick the audience with modern marketing techniques. The musician emphasizes that the best composers of all time have chosen harpsichord as the medium of their ingenious ideas.

Hantaï performs as a soloist all over the world often performs with Jordi Savall, enjoys musical reunions with his brothers Marc Hantaï (flute) and Jerôme Hantaï (viola da gamba, piano) and several friends-baroque musicians.
