Tamberg. „Celebration Fanfares“ op.112

Tchaikovsky. Symphony No. 5 in E-minor op.64

Emmanuel Tjeknavorian garnered a lot of attention on an international concert arena after the last Sibelius Competition, where he won the second prize, the audience award, and a special prize for the best interpretation of Sibelius’ Violin Concerto. In the 2017–2018 season, he was picked for the rising star series in Europe’s most famous concert halls and his concert schedule as a soloist and chamber musician is very tight these days. Tjeknavorian has performed many times in Estonia; first, right after the 2015 Sibelius Competition, later as part of the Kadrioru Palace Music series, and now we have the chance to hear his rendition of Sibelius’s Violin Concerto. Emmanuel Tjeknavorian plays on a violin by Antonio Stradivari (Cremona).

„In terms of virtuosity, intensity, phrasing, tone colour, and profound musical understanding, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian has everything.“
