The international career of Jiyoon Lee, the principal violin of the stellar Berlin Staatskapelle, has progressed at breakneck speed – important contest victories, including the David Oistrakh, Carl Nielsen, and Queen Elizabeth contests, as well as invitations to famous festivals and reputable orchestras have made her a treat for audiences everywhere she performs. Critics characterise her play as perfect, forceful in its precision, with excellent taste and resolute virtuosity. Jiyoon Lee was born in 1992 in Seoul, she started playing the violin at 4 years old, and her teacher in Germany was Kolja Blacher. She plays on a Petrus Guarnerius violin, made in 1730.

„Magnificent! Extraordinary! Excellent! Unforgettable! Kristiina Poska is fantastic!“– this is how audiences describe Kristiina Poska.
