The centre of the concert is British culture. Composers Gavin Bryars and John Tavener from one side and from the other side a poet Stearns Eliot, who was born in America, but spent most of his life in England. In addition to works from British composers, the concert also includes Mart Siimer’s Between reality for male choir and organ, which is written for T. S. Eliot’s chrestomathic text The Hollow Men.

Conductor Charles Barbier (France)
Charles Barbier is a French choir conductor and a singer, who has studied at the prestigious schools in France and at the Sibelius Academy in Finland. As a tenor and a male soprano he has sang in Belgium, Colombia, Cyprus, Finland, etc, and also in Estonia. His repertoire includes works from renaissance to contemporary music, from chamber music to opera arias.
